The Isle of Wight Voucherbook will be in a cheque book size & style but perfect bound and with more weighted covers and paper. The voucher pages will be perforated for easy removal - the stub will show the voucher business name.

The front of your voucher should contain your offer, company name & logo, images etc..

The rear of your voucher should contain the offer terms and conditions, your location, and images etc. We suggest a 'customer spend' box to fill in so you can monitor income from the vouchers.

Marketing is targeted at both residents and visitors and marketing will differ for each group.

  • For IOW visitors we see most sales coming via hotels, holiday parks and holiday home letting agents they will make money selling copies.
  • Several accommodation providers have already said they may just buy copies and offer them as a complimentary gift to guests. 
  • This fills a 'marketing gap' as most holiday makers tend not to join local social media groups just for the duration of their holiday. You can already reach IOW Visitors on their way here (using the excellent Red Funnel guide or onboard marketing which we are also responsible for) but not so much in situ, in their accommodation. We also plan to make use of street vendors on high streets and esplanades during the busiest months.
  • So far, all voucher advertisers also want to sell copies at their venues as this should negate the cost of placing their voucher!
  • For IOW residents most marketing will be by local press, magazine advertising and local radio - this of course may also be seen by IOW visitors. Considerable IOW resident marketing activity will be via social media - every voucher offer will be promoted individually whilst it's valid.

With circa 2.6 million visitors and 140k residents the target sales figure for the first year is a realistic 12,000-15,000 copies. With repeat sales (mainly to residents, frequent visitors) and subscriptions taking off we are targeting considerable growth once the IOW VoucherBook becomes better known.
Not Much !

  • Each voucher consists of two pages - Offer (front) and T and C's (back).
  • The cost to place a voucher in the book is £200 for one voucher, £175 per voucher for two or more. 
  • You can supply finished artwork (see copy spec) or if you wish us to design it for you we charge £30 per voucher.
  • If you also stock and sell IOW VoucherBooks at your premises you should not only make this money back but actually exceed the cost of placing your voucher.
  • Businesses that stock and sell the IOW VoucherBook will keep 40%-50% of the £10 sale price depending on whether their business has a voucher in that current issue. Copies will initially be supplied on a sale or return basis so no outlay is required. Promotional material will be supplied as well as your location listed on this website as a stockist. Full info on this HERE.

  • Individuals that want to earn extra money during the summer can register with us a street vendor. You can either buy VoucherBooks at a discount and resell them or be paid an hourly rate with a bonus amount for each copy sold. Areas with busy footfall such as town centres and promenades could be quite lucrative during peak season. Full training given.

Images above / options below refer to food n drink companies but your voucher is all about your business needs. It should add new revenue, not discount existing revenue so think carefully about which days, times or products your offer is valid for.

Retail companies - a particular product line?
Health & Beauty companies - treatment or package of treatments?
Attractions - a deal on a family pass, residents discount or repeat visits?
Gyms - a weekly membership?
Car hire - a daily rate?
Garden centres - a deal in the cafe?

You choose the offer & the terms under which it applies. Your offer may be redeemed via a website code or by presentation of the voucher. Existing offers can also be used as island visitors will be unaware of them - most don't follow local social media for their time here.

a deal to get diners in earlier or later in the evening - maybe 5-6pm or 8-9pm.
a deal on your quieter days usually Monday or Tuesday or Sunday evening.

There are two sponsorship opportunities available on IOW VoucherBook.

One official sponsor will get a full page cover position ( inside back cover) in the IOW VoucherBooks for a year. The other will get the outside back cover. 

All sponsors logo's (URL linked) appear on all website pages and get a free voucher in each of the IOW VoucherBooks over the course of a year. Their logo will also appear on all promotional items relating to the IOW VoucherBook.

Inside cover sponsorship costs £1950+vat and is valid for 12 months.
Outside back cover sponsorship costs £2550+vat and is valid for 12 months.

IOW VoucherBooks Retailers Wanted Now!

The 2024 high season issue goes on sale late April 2024 with vouchers valid until September 30th. IOW VoucherBooks sell for £10 each. How much money you make out of them depends on whether your business has a voucher in them (voucher vendor) or not (non voucher vendor).


All VoucherBook Vendors

  • Standard promotional boxes of IOW VoucherBooks each contain 30 copies and will be supplied along with some promotional items. 
  • Your initial box of 30 VoucherBooks are on a sale or return basis so you can see how they sell with no risk or outlay. 
  • VoucherBooks will be barcoded and you sell them @£10 each. Your location can be listed on this website as a vendor (suggested but optional). 
  • A prompt card in the box will suggest you order another box when you are almost sold out and more IOW VoucherBooks are delivered within 48 hours.
  • You will have an idea of how quickly they sell after first box so order only what you need.
  • Single box orders remain sale or return, multiple box orders are payment on ordering / delivery. 
  • We guarantee that any unsold VoucherBooks at time of VoucherBook expiry can be returned and you're refunded fully on them. 


Non Voucher (non-advertiser) Vendors achieve a 66% markup selling VoucherBooks

  • First box of 30 books (value £300) supplied on a sale or return basis Non voucher vendors keep 40% of revenue (£120) so a healthy margin.
  • You pay for initial single box (£180) when second box ordered / delivered and so on.
  • multiple box orders are payment on ordering / delivery on 'sale or refund' basis.
  • once you know how they sell we suggest a conservative monthly order - you can always top up.


Voucher (advertiser) Vendors achieve a 100% markup selling VoucherBooks

  • First box of 30 books (value £300) supplied on a sale or return basis - voucher vendors keep 50% of revenue (£150) so a healthy margin.
  • You pay for initial single box (£150) when second box is ordered / delivered and so on.
  • multiple box orders are payment on ordering / delivery on 'sale or refund' basis.
